Details for The Conet Project - Recordings of Shortwave Numbers Stations [ird059]

oh damn... I just noticed that the entire Conet Project set is available for download from archive.org. I'm still glad I have my second pressing CD set, but for anyone who wasn't sure if they wanted to drop the $$ to own this, now you don't have to.

ummm yes you do have to drop the $$ if you can afford it that is; if you want more releases like this to be made by the likes of Irdial, you have to support them with your bucks. At the very least, if you leech The Conet Project, buy one of their Cafe Press t's. 17,000 people have downloaded that relase from them. T-shirts are their livelyhood...it makes sense to support them

Nothing from nothing comes...

Thanks for clarifying john. Absolutely, if you appreciate what Irdial is doing, buy their other items if you can. I purchased the CD set a few years ago, even though I could have grabbed it off a p2p network, because I absolutely love this release.

While we are clarifying, I would like to point out that archive.org is NOT a p2p or pirate site. They are digital media historians, with an incredible range of audio and video recordings available and maintained by the staff. From their info page:

"The Internet Archive is a 501(c)(3) public nonprofit that was founded to build an ‘Internet library,’ with the purpose of offering permanent access for researchers, historians, and scholars to historical collections that exist in digital format."

If you like what the Internet Archive is doing (it is a phenomenal resource), you can find ways to donate and support them on their "about" page.
