Seekrit Numbers

You know how credit card fraud and identity theft are big stories in the media these days? Well, turns out there's a good reason for that. It actually happens. A lot. And as of last week, to me as well. Luckily, my bank caught it pretty quickly, but I am now deep in the throes of catastrophic credit/finance/identity paranoia. Bummer.

How did they get you, and what tipped off the bank? I'm paranoid about it here, especially since it's harder to get info about what's going on in the US from here in the frozen north.

By the way, I tried to use that credit reporting service you wrote about in a post a couple of months ago. The site has been down for months seems like. It's strange. I'll try it again now though.
