The O'Franken Factor

I'm just posting this to remind me to look for any local or reachable stations in the SD area that may carry it. I would love to hear a radio station like this! CNN.com - Franken to heat up liberal radio - Mar 10, 2004

Hi there, do you know what number on the dial the O'Franken Factor will be broadcast in the San Francisco area?
Thanks,

Can anyone be a bigger loser? I doubt it. There is nothing orginal about "The O'franken Factor." I Predict he'll be off the air in 6 months. Nobody who's anybody will listen. To Al: Get a real job!

This show is absolutely hilarious!!!!!!!!!! I love it. Al Franken and Rush Limbaugh have something in common. Al Franken is trying to be funny and is. Rush Limbaugh isn't trying to be funny, but he's such a delusional bag of wind that he's funny too, even though he doesn't intend to be.

Posted by: Dave at March 31, 2004 06:18 PM

DAVE...The big difference is, Limbaugh has 10,000,000 listeners and Al Freekin has 10 and 6 of those are republicans.......HA HA HA HA..!!!
What a FREEKIN joke. Hey Bill. I see Big Al is on the air in THREE (count them) THREE cities. Rush has 600 Affiliates.

hey buddy and matt? i think you'd have to admit that having a voice to represent a greater portion of the political spectrum is a great idea... very "American." No need to be antagonistic here... air america will flourish or fail on it's own merits. Personally, I am glad it's available, because I don't agree with the POV of the majority of the right-wing talk radio out there. And my viewpoint, as well as the large numbers of other left-leaning listeners, is just as valuable in the makeup of the United States as yours. So please, rejoice in your right to listen to Limbaugh all you want, but leave your derisive attitude elsewhere.

Al Gore lies so MUCH it is stomach turning. Since his lies have caught up with him, he turned to screaming. When his aides told Gore that screaming made him look like a maniac, Gore again played his best role, Forest Gump. "Screaming is as screaming does. Or, is it "Screaming is as Gore does? Momma always said; ah, what was it momma always said? Hmmm, don't know, gotta ask coach." And with that, a puzzled Gore sits down in his favorite padded chase lounge, picking up where he left off with his favorite book "Curious George". "I just love the Man in the Yellow Hat,” Al mumbles to himself, with a big smile. I like yellow hats. I invented yellow hats.

His aid make sure the sharp kitchen utensils are all out of his room, then quietly closes the door and set the timer on the light so Al knows when it is bedtime.

In the morning, the book is found, left open to page 37, with a jar of Vaseline on top of a snoring Al Gore.

Don't tell my employer! I vote Republican and work Dem since they use me as a token for their roster. Ok with me; I need the job and I tell people vote for Bush!

Gore invented yellow hats...TOOOO FUNNY!! That sounds like most of these big shot people I work around. They all have egos galore man! Each one beating his chest saying I WAS THE ONE WHO HELPED THE LITTLE PEOPLE! Then they all back the Democratic tax plan while they all have these contract stipulations that the extra tax they have to pay under the Kerry plan to be paid by the Democratic National Party!

I just sit back and answer the phone; I do work hard for the campaign and are paid. Kerry helping me, one of the little people. UNREAL!!! They spend more money on each other to help one of me. Tax and waste...tax and waste...

Go MAN IN THE YELLOW HAT!!! Too funny...

Rush Hemorrhoid has 10,000,000 listeners. First of all, I doubt it. Second of all, assuming it's true, that's after more than 10 years. I think the issue is this: lefties get their news from READING (remember the right's poster boy George W prides himself on not reading the newspaper), righties get their "news" from Mr. Hemorrhoid or Pat Robertson. I say this as a former conservative (not now a liberal either, but not a conservative, either). Mr. Homorrhoid does not believe one word of what he says. He is more concerned about selling a silly newsletter, coffee mugs, air filters, and ties than anything else. Wake up all you righties and realize this: Rush is a liar...no, wait...a liar has to KNOW they're lying. Sorry. Rush is just stupid.

You can either snag it via XM Radio, or through live streaming on the net. I'd recommend the latter until XM gets better. They cut off one of the shows to go into another.

I tried to get KBLA from my area of SD, and couldn't get it. I'm almost happy, too, because I heard from someone else that the delay is by three hours to run the shows at the same timeslots they run in New York. However, that means that you can't call in.

Al Franken is /great/. It's about time we had a bulldog on our side.

please let me know where I can listen to Al Franken or the franken factor on liberal radio in San Diego also, I have tried to get in 1050 am but it will not come in clearly in north county areas.

Yeah, leftists are informed and those damned Republicans are all a bunch of ignorant bastards. That's why we have leftists calling the Republican Party racist. It's also why Reagan/Bush are blamed for supplying Saddam with weapons - not that it isn't true, but the way it's said makes it sound as if THEY are the ones holding the most responsibility for Saddam's evil acts - it's not as if the US government went up to Saddam and said, "here's some weapons, now go gas the Kurds."

And finally, leftists show how they are intellectual gentlemen, unlike those evil Republicans, when they say "tax cuts for the rich" like a broken record. Damn those wealthy assholes for wanting the poor to rot in the streets and giving nothing to charity! Mmhmm, intellectual lefties alright.

"OMG yOU"RE STEREOTYPING DEMS:""

eric, talk radio is specifically about hyperbole and bluster. Having one new station that counters what the right has been doing for ages seems like a completely fair turn of events. Nobody here is slamming right or conservatives, the post and most comments are about the station itself. What I do see is several attack-mode comments left by conservative apologists.

Also, I don't know you, so don't assume that you know me. broad sweeping generalizations lead to assumptions and conflict. I don't agree with knee-jerk liberal responses, so your buzzword sarcasm doesn't pull much weight here. Find issues that are important to you, discuss them with others, and you'll be more informed and earn more respect.
