.ORG?
This is strange. When I was putting this site together, I wanted to register nothingistrue, but .com and .org were already registered (though both only had "coming soon" pages), so I registered nothingistrue.net. Well, I just took a look at nothingistrue.org, and it shows up with this site! It looks like someone created a frameset that points to my site, but I have no idea why anyone would want to do that. If you don't use frames, it shows you a forward link to http://www.namezero.com, a domain name registration site. If anyone is familiar with these type of practices, let me know. It doesn't really make a difference to me, it just seems a little odd.Posted by nothingistrue at December 14, 2002 01:12 PM

That is strange, but not un common I'm afraid. You have to be careful the person that owns it doesn't redirect it to a different site at a latter date. For instance you can have many people coming to the .org thinking its your site and then one day it becomes a link farm or porn or something. Also search engines can ban you because its like having a mirror. Its not a good thing to get dropped from Google!

yipe! I didn't even think of that. I sent an email to the contact for that domain, but it was bounced back. I'll have to dig in and see if I can find out more. Thanks for the info.

I have not been able to contact the owner of the .org, so I have added a little script to break the site out of frames if they are detected. We'll see what happens from here.
